Good advice. Just be prepared that those around you may not want you to break out of your existing pattern of behavior to do it (as described by Drs. Cloud & Townsend in the book Boundaries).
People that are used to you sacrificing/ignoring your own needs to please them and cater to their selfishness will have difficulty adjusting to the change. In fact, they may not be able to, leading to conflict and volatility in your relationship... possibly leading to the end of it. They will blame you and try to make you feel guilty for things that are essential to your own well - being. Someone who truly loves you will seek to understand your deepest needs, especially during a time of healing, and encourage you to do whatever is needed to become whole again.
